Christina Jao has been an Office Manager and Project Assistant at BRAND BERGER since 2015 and is primarily responsible for assisting our managing directors and partners.
Christina qualified as a hotel manageress in Essen (Germany) before embarking on an international career at the prestigious Hilton on Park Lane Hotel in London.
Christina switched to the real estate sector in 2006, soon taking responsibility for the administration of large residential portfolios. In 2013 she joined Drees & Sommer’s Munich office, where she supported the Real Estate Consulting Division in her role as a Project & Team Assistant.

Mirko Kirch
Senior Consultant
Mirko Kirch joined the BRAND BERGER team in 2018. His main areas of focus are project coordination, technical project controlling and technical project monitoring.
Having already completed a BSc in Civil Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Mirko went on to gain an MSc in Civil Engineering from the Technical University of Munich in 2018. He has been a certified Assessor of Structural Damage since 2021 and gained an LL.M. in Business Law for Real Estate from Biberach University of Applied Sciences in 2024.
Prior to 2018, Mirko’s roles at THOST Projektmanagement, SSF Ingenieure and Züblin enabled him to acquire extensive knowledge and experience of project management and construction management from the perspective of both developer and contractor.

Doreen Heinzelmann

BRAND BERGER welcomed Doreen Heinzelmann as a Senior Consultant in 2017. Her main areas of focus are financial and investor controlling as well as client representation for real estate developments and construction projects.
Doreen studied Civil Engineering at Biberach University of Applied Sciences and draws on over 25 years of success in the construction and real estate sector. In 2008 she gained an MBA in International Real Estate Management from Bauakademie Biberach, the Institute of Real Estate Management (Zurich) and Southbank University (London).

Matthias Hierl
Senior Consultant
Matthias Hierl has been at BRAND BERGER since 2020. His main area of responsibility is the provision of building services consulting.
Matthias completed an MSc in Building Services Engineering at Munich University of Applied Sciences in 2012. During his studies he spent time at the Dublin Institute of Technology and also gained practical building services experience at a number of planning and surveying firms. He has been an Accredited Professional for WiredScore Office and SmartScore Office since 2022.
He began his career at Imtech in 2012 as a Project Engineer responsible for planning and energy efficiency. In 2014 Matthias moved to Climaplan, where his role as a Consultant Engineer included the planning of building services.
Matthias completed an MSc in Building Services Engineering at Munich University of Applied Sciences in 2012. During his studies he spent time at the Dublin Institute of Technology and also gained practical building services experience at a number of planning and surveying firms. He has been an Accredited Professional for WiredScore Office and SmartScore Office since 2022.

Felix Sacksen
Managing Partner
Felix Sacksen joined BRAND BERGER as a Consultant, progressively taking on greater responsibility – most recently as Head of Project Management and Controlling. Since 2025 he is one of a triumvirate of owners and managing partners alongside Martin B. Berger and Toni Ser.
Felix graduated with a BA in Architecture from the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden in 2014. He has been a DGNB-certified ESG Manager since 2022 and, since 2025, a lecturer at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences on the Master´s programme in ´Sustainability in Building Industry´.
Having gained extensive project management experience at a firm of architects in Wiesbaden during his studies, Felix began his professional career as a Project Manager at Preuss (Munich) in 2014. Two years later he moved to Hitzler Ingenieure as a Project Manager responsible for assisting prestigious developers in the realization of their projects.

Since 2026, Maya Bleich has been part of the BRAND BERGER team, successfully supporting the areas of project management and technical due diligence.
Maya is currently in the second semester of her Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering at the Technical University of Munich.

Philipp Nigges
Senior Consultant
Philipp Nigges joined the BRAND BERGER team in 2020. His main areas of activity are technical due diligence, asset decarbonisation strategies, technical project monitoring and technical asset management.
Having gained a BSc in Civil Engineering from the Technical University of Munich in 2011, Philipp went on to obtain an MSc in Civil Engineering from the same university in 2014. He has been an Assessor of Structural Damage (EIPOS) since 2019.
After his studies Philipp joined Real I.S. as a Technical Asset Manager, a role which saw him manage an extensive real estate portfolio including offices, hotels, retail premises, logistics centres and residential properties. This involved responsibility for transactions as well as major refurbishment and conversion projects at portfolio properties.

Sophie Peter joined BRAND BERGER in 2016 and supports our clients in the fields of technical project controlling, project management and transaction advisory.

Genoveva Graff has been at BRAND BERGER since 2018, using her outstanding knowledge and skills to manage projects in the fields of technical due diligence and technical project controlling.

Martin B. Berger

Having founded BRAND BERGER real estate consulting in 2015, Martin is now one of a triumvirate of owners and managing partners alongside Felix Sacksen and Toni Ser. He advises our clients on transactions, sustainability, project management and controlling.
Martin studied Civil Engineering in Munich, and blends technical and commercial expertise with a strong commitment to sustainability and ESG. He has been an Energy Efficiency Expert (TU) since 2007, a DGNB Auditor since 2009 and a Real Estate Manager (EBS) since 2013.
Martin began his career at Boh Bros. Construction, New Orleans in 1997 before joining Kaiser Baucontrol in 2001. From 2007 onwards Martin set up the Real Estate Consulting division at Drees & Sommer Munich, where he was Managing Director for three years until leaving in 2015.

Anna completed her BSc in Industrial Engineering at the Management Center Innsbruck, Austria, in 2023, with a specialization in Mechanical Engineering and Project Management. In 2022, she spent a semester abroad at Universidad Pontificia Comillas in Madrid, Spain, and in 2025 at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in Copenhagen, Denmark.
She is currently pursuing an MSc in Resource-Efficient and Sustainable Building at the Technical University of Munich, focusing on Sustainable Construction, Building Physics, and Real Estate Development.
During her studies, she gained practical experience at Kälte Eckert in refrigeration engineering, at Trane in HVAC engineering, and at Drees & Sommer in building physics and project management.

Connor Uhl

Connor Uhl joined BRAND BERGER in 2023 and specializes in project management, ESG management and technical project controlling.
Connor graduated from the University of Regensburg with a degree in Business Administration (Real Estate Management pathway) in 2017. In 2021 he gained an MSc in Real Estate from IREBS in Regensburg, which included a period of study at the University of Technology Sydney. During his studies he also gained practical experience of project management in a real estate context. He has been a DGNB Consultant since 2024.
Connor started his professional career in 2021 as a Project Controller at AdlerSchreier (Frankfurt), where he was responsible for the development of several commercial portfolio projects for prestigious clients in the North Rhine-Westphalia region.

Patrizia Bollwein joined BRAND BERGER in 2024 and specializes in project controlling, project management and technical due diligence.
Patrizia holds a degree in Architecture from Hochschule Rheinland-Pfalz and has been a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects since 2006. In 2023 she qualified as a Certified Real Estate Project Developer (EBS).

Subsequent positions saw her take responsibility for a range of construction projects at LHI Real Estate Management and head up large construction projects at utilities company Stadtwerke München. Rüdiger Brunschlik

Rüdiger Brunschlik joined BRAND BERGER in 2018 as Head of Transaction Advisory and has been Managing Director since 2025. His main areas of focus are technical due diligence, project controlling and real estate transactions.
Rüdiger studied Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology in Munich before completing a degree in Industrial Engineering for Construction in Kaiserslautern. He is a certified expert in property valuation and the assessment of soil contamination. He has been an accredited DGNB Consultant since 2024.
From 1994 onwards Rüdiger worked for Sakosta and HypoVereinsbank in Munich. In 2004 he joined AMEC Earth & Environmental as Branch Manager and Authorized Signatory responsible for real estate consulting. In 2012 he was recruited by Duff & Phelps REAG to set up their Munich office.

Thomas Heppe

Since 2018 Thomas Heppe has been responsible for BRAND BERGER´s MEP advisory services and has been Managing Director since 2025.
Thomas qualified as an HVACR engineer in 2000 before gaining a degree in Building Technology at Biberach University of Applied Sciences in 2004. He completed his studies with a degree in Industrial Economics at the Technical University of Munich.
Thomas started his career at Imtech in 2004 as a Project and Division Manager specializing in project planning and energy efficiency. In 2014 he moved to Drees & Sommer as a specialist in technical-commercial controlling. 2017 saw him take charge of the MEP Planning Department at Seidl & Partner, and in 2018 he was appointed Munich Branch Manager at ZWP Ingenieure.

BRAND BERGER welcomed Eva-Maria Ullrich in 2017. Building on her strong background in real estate development and economics, her main areas of focus are project management, financial monitoring and ESG management.
Having studied Business Economics – specializing in Real Estate Economics – at the University of Regensburg and IREBS International Real Estate Business School, Eva-Maria went on to qualify as a Specialist Planner in 2020 and as a Specialist Site Manager for Preventive Fire Protection (TÜV) in 2021. She has been a certified Project Manager (DVPzert) and an Accredited Professional for SmartScore Office since 2022.

Angela Jao

Since 2016, Angela Jao has been part of the BRAND BERGER team. After several years in office management and project assistance, she additionally took on the position of Consultant in 2025, focusing on technical project controlling and monitoring.
Having graduated in East Asian Studies at the Gerhard Mercator University in Duisburg (Germany) in 1999, Angela went on to gain an MA in Pacific Asian Studies at the University of London in 2000. In 2025, she obtained her qualification as a Real Estate Economist (ADI).
She started her professional career as a Senior Market Researcher at Datamonitor in London in 2001. She subsequently worked in Switzerland as a Project Manager at ALSTOM and Ernst & Young. Her last role before joining us was as an International Sales Executive for the DACH region, Asia and Eastern Europe at Quick SpA in Ravenna (Italy).

Michael Fischer
Senior Consultant
Michael Fischer joined BRAND BERGER in 2018. He specializes in project controlling and asset management, including the technical-commercial coordination of tenancy agreements and fit-out issues on behalf of tenants and landlords.
Michael graduated as an architect in 2003. He has been a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects since 2007 and an Accredited Professional for WiredScore Office since 2022.
Initially a planner and site manager for projects ranging from housing to healthcare, Michael then switched to real estate. From 2008 to 2018 he was Technical Asset Manager at Real I.S., taking responsibility for a portfolio of office, logistics, retail and hotel properties as well as transaction processes. He later led multiple restructuring and development projects around Europe.
Michael graduated as an architect in 2003. He has been a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects since 2007 and an Accredited Professional for WiredScore Office since 2022.

Tobias Wittmann joined BRAND BERGER in 2021, strengthening our team in the fields of project management, ESG management and technical due diligence.
After completing a BA in Sports, Media and Event Management at Campus M21 in Munich (in cooperation with Mittweida University of Applied Sciences) in 2017, Tobias went on to gain a BSc in Environmental Engineering from the Technical University of Munich in 2021 before adding an MSc in Civil Engineering – specializing in energy-efficient and sustainable planning and construction, building physics and construction process management – at the same university in 2023. Sabrina Konrad
Senior Consultant
Sabrina Konrad has been a Senior Consultant at BRAND BERGER since 2016, using her extensive real estate expertise to provide our clients with support in areas such as technical due diligence, ESG assessments and technical project controlling.

Simone Rieder joined BRAND BERGER in 2025 and strengthens our team in the fields of ESG management, sustainability consulting and project management.
Simone gained her BSc in Civil Engineering from OTH Regensburg in 2018 and her MSc in Civil Engineering from the Technical University of Munich in 2021. She has been an Energy Efficiency Expert for Residential and Non-Residential Buildings since 2021.
Having already gained initial practical experience in the management of construction projects at a civil engineering company, Simone began her professional career at the Institute for Energy Efficient and Sustainable Building (part of a construction planning firm) and a start-up specializing in property management software.

Bernd Obermeier

Bernd Obermeier joined BRAND BERGER in 2019. His specialties are MEP consulting and technical controlling.
After qualifying as an electrician in 1987, Bernd spent 2 years in the trade and 8 years with the German armed forces. In 1998 he qualified as an electrical engineer for automation technology. Since 2021 he has been a certified Assessor of Electrical Damage to Building Services and an accredited Planner and Consultant for Smart Buildings. He has been a certified Consultant for E-mobility & Alternative Drives since 2022.
From 1998 to 2012 Bernd was Head of Instrumentation and Control Engineering at Neuberger-Anlagen-Technik. In 2012 he joined PORR as a specialist site manager. From 2016 onwards he was Head of Tech Consulting & Controlling at Drees & Sommer.
After qualifying as an electrician in 1987, Bernd spent 2 years in the trade and 8 years with the German armed forces. In 1998 he qualified as an electrical engineer for automation technology. Dr.-Ing. Monika Fischer has been a Senior Consultant at BRAND BERGER since 2017, setting up our building services consulting operations and tackling a range of building services projects.
Monika completed a degree in Processing Technology for Construction Materials in Weimar in 1977 before gaining her doctorate from the Bauhaus University in Weimar in 1982. After a 3-year lectureship at the University of Maputo (Mozambique), she returned to Weimar as a lecturer in thermal process engineering. In 2021 Monika was appointed as a Consultant Engineer by the Bavarian Chamber of Engineers.
After starting her professional career as a building services planner at CBP in 1992, Monika was soon promoted to Head of HVAC. In 2002 she joined Drees & Sommer, where she was Head of Technical & Commercial Controlling for the Munich office.

BRAND BERGER welcomed Fred-Rainer Rack as a Senior Consultant in 2015. Our clients benefit from his wealth of experience in the fields of technical due diligence and quality controlling.
Rainer completed a degree in Architecture at TU Berlin in 1972.
Having started his career – one that now spans more than 50 years – as a planner of large projects at Heinrichs and Partner (Berlin) and von Gerkan, Marg and Partners (Hamburg), Rainer went on to join Drees & Sommer GmbH in 1989. Working out of the firm’s Hamburg, Cologne, Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich offices in the roles of Project Manager, Construction Supervisor and Quality Controller, he was involved in prestigious projects such as Potsdamer Platz, the Olympiastadion (both Berlin) and the headquarters of Infineon in Munich-Neubiberg.

Florian Benning
Consultant
Florian Benning joined the BRAND BERGER team in 2019. His main area of focus is transaction advisory, and in particular data room management and technical project controlling.

Hendrik Wohofsky
Junior Consultant
Hendrik Wohofsky has been part of the BRAND BERGER team since 2023. After several years as trainee, he took over a Junior Consultant role in 2026, focusing on project management and technical due diligence.
Hendrik completed his bachelor's degree in civil engineering at the Technical University of Munich in 2022. In 2024, he completed a semester abroad at Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland. He focused on renewable energies and the sustainable energy supply of buildings and neighbourhoods. He subsequently obtained a Master of Science in Civil Engineering, also at the Technical University of Munich – with a focus on building physics, building process management, construction and environmental informatics energy-efficient and sustainable construction.

Since 2025, Josefine Keulers has strengthened the BRAND BERGER team in our Hamburg office and successfully supports our activities in the fields of project management, technical due diligence and ESG management.
Having gained a BSc Civil Engineering from the Technical University of Munich in 2020, Josefine went on to obtain an MSc in Civil Engineering from the same university in 2023, specializing in construction physics, construction process management, timber construction and real estate development.
During her MSc programme, Josefine gained valuable experience with BRAND BERGER. Josefine then worked as a project manager at APM Projektmanagement in Hamburg, managing and coordinating complex building construction projects and gaining valuable experience in real estate development.

Agnieszka Karolczak joined the BRAND BERGER team as an Office Manager and Controller in 2019.

Franziska Bacurin joined BRAND BERGER as an Office Manager in 2026.
Franziska completed her vocational training as a travel agent in Osnabrück.
She subsequently gained professional experience in various sectors, including hospitality, education, software and industry. She began her career at the Van der Valk Hotel in Osnabrück, before moving to Spartherm Feuerungstechnik in Melle, where she worked in internal sales. In 2020, she joined Abacus Business Solutions in Munich as an ERP consultant and, in2021, moved to the Academy of the Bavarian Press in Munich, where she worked as a team assistant.

She subsequently gained practical experience in press and public relations at ZDF (German public television) in Mainz, at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg, and as a trainee and junior editor at Kösel and Diederichs publisher in Munich. In 2015, she moved to Eckart Immobilien – a property developer and real estate company based in Grünwald – where she worked as a sales and project manager.

Nils Neumaier joined BRAND BERGER in 2025 and supports our activities in the fields of project management and project controlling.
Nils gained a BEng in Civil Engineering from the IU International University of Applied Sciences Munich, specializing in real estate financing and development. He is currently studying for his Master in Civil Engineering at the Munich University of Applied Sciences.
During his studies he gained initial practical experience while working at ATP architects engineers Munich in the field of structural engineering and subsequently worked there as a Junior Project Supervisor and Project Manager in the field of construction management.
LinkedInNils gained a BEng in Civil Engineering from the IU International University of Applied Sciences Munich, specializing in real estate financing and development. He is currently studying for his Master in Civil Engineering at the Munich University of Applied Sciences.
During his studies he gained initial practical experience while working at ATP architects engineers Munich in the field of structural engineering and subsequently worked there as a Junior Project Supervisor and Project Manager in the field of construction management.

Since 2026, Kian Fritz has been working at BRAND BERGER, where he supports the team in technical due diligence and ESG Management.
Kian is currently in his fifth semester at Fresenius University of Applied Sciences, studying for a Bachelor's degree in Real Estate Management. As part of his studies, he focuses particularly on challenges in project development, project management, sustainability in the real estate industry, and real estate law.
During his studies, he has already gained practical experience in the real estate sector, including at Engel & Völkers.

He is currently studying for an MSc in Civil Engineering at the Technical University of Munich, specializing in computation in modelling and simulation, construction process management and building materials.
During his BSc programme, Quentin gained valuable practical experience at various engineering firms and the student project office at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences in addition to his role at BRAND BERGER.
